Using LogiTech Tap and Rally Bar for Conferences

The following instructions are also printed and available in both conference rooms.

Prerequisite: Users must be in Rhapsody in White or The Mayflower conference room.

Creating/Joining a Meeting in Microsoft Teams:

  • Power On: Ensure the LogiTech Rally Bar and Tap are powered on (Tap should show the screen below and the TV will display a similar background).

  • Start Teams: On the LogiTech Tap, tap the Meet icon to create a Teams meeting.
    • It will display the Meeting ID and Passcode to share to all attendees 
    • Note: You can create a Teams meeting from your computer or mobile device and include the conference room name as an attendee to book a meeting in the future.

    • From the display within Teams, you can mute the microphone or disable the camera. You can increase the volume of the conference, share your screen, or raise your hand. 
    • You also can disable the microphone and camera of the attendees
  • More: Tap the “More” button to view more options, such as Join a Meeting which allows you to join a Teams meeting using the Meeting ID and passcode provided by the organizer.

  • Whiteboard: During the meeting you’re able to use the Whiteboard feature to draw and write during a meeting for all attendees to view 
  • Ending a call: Select the red phone icon to end a call.
    • Troubleshooting tip for calls that won’t end: 
      • If the call did not end properly and you see the home screen on the Tap, Start a meeting and then end it to close out of everything 
  • Remote: The remote on the table next to the Tap can be used to adjust the Zoom, position the camera, increase the volume, and disconnect the call. 

Restarting the Tap or Rally Bar camera

Follow these troubleshooting steps if the device won’t connect

  • Tap
    • To restart the Tap, disconnect the Ethernet cable from the connection in the conference room table for 5 seconds, then reconnect. 
    • You will see the screen go Black, then the purple Logi home screen, then the home screen for Teams 
  • Rally Bar
    • To restart the Rally Bar, press and hold the Power button (circular button closest to the end of the left-hand side of the Rally Bar) for five seconds. 
    • On the screen you should see a countdown, then it will restart showing the purple Logi screen, and finally the home screen for Teams
